It started with the bookkeeping
I needed a proper system for my own company’s accounts, VAT, VIES, invoicing, all of it. Building it myself is where Odoo won me over.
Before that I spent six years in the Microsoft world, as a Microsoft 365 specialist in presales and then at a Swedish Microsoft partner working with Dynamics. That background is why security and 365 are part of the conversation and not somebody else’s problem.

No. You buy your Odoo subscription directly from Odoo, and Microsoft licences from Microsoft or your existing reseller. I am paid for the implementation work, which keeps the advice independent.
A focused first phase is usually four to eight weeks from blueprint to go-live. Wider scope takes longer, and Discovery gives you a firm answer before you commit.
Usually yes. Customers, suppliers, products, open invoices and balances are the normal set. Historical detail is migrated only where it earns its keep.
Yes, provided you start with the apps you need and add the rest later. Standard first, customisation later, is what keeps small projects small.
